Alejandro (Alex) Suarez is an audio engineer, musician, and creative technologist working in the realm of technology and art with a focus on audio. His creative works focus on human technology interaction, experimental sound, and immersive installations. His interests span live sound, experimental music production, spatial audio, and the development of new systems for live performance and installations. Deeply rooted in Atlanta’s art and music communities, Alejandro is also a co-founder of M.E.A.T., a collective of local artists, musicians, and engineers creating thought provoking installations that bring together art, technology, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Through both his creative and research practice, he is interested in using technology as a medium for expanding the possibilities of live performance, sound, and artistic interaction.
