Keene Cheung

Keene Cheung is a flutist, technologist, sound designer, and composer whose creative practice primarily focuses on electronic and electroacoustic music that often incorporates creatively driven computational systems. His creative + research interests revolve around developing dynamic spatial systems as a compositional tool, presenting new performative paradigms in live human-computer interaction. Keene is a first-year master’s student in Music Technology at Georgia Tech, working as a graduate research assistant in Professor Henrik Von Coler’s Lab for Interaction and Immersion. He holds a BA in ICAM Music (Interdisciplinary Computing and the Arts Major) with Honors in Music Technology and a BS in Business Economics from the University of California, San Diego. His past teachers include Michelle Lou (Composition + Computer Music) and Wilfrido Terrazas (Flute).
