Augmented Reality Connects Musicians with Sound, Space, and Audience

L42i presented two projects exploring augmented reality as a connection between musicians, sound, space, and audience. In 2CUBES, Hyunkyung Shin and Henrik von Coler used ARCube interfaces with double bass and modular synthesizer to shape an immersive performance. Orlando Kenny also presented immersing, a mobile AR installation that invited audience members to influence an immersive soundscape with their smartphones.
